Alia Bhatt’s grandfather, Narendra Nath Razdan, has passed away at the age of 99.
On Thursday, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram account and announced that her grandfather, Narendra Nath Razdan, has passed away. She shared a heartfelt post dedicated to him and wrote an emotional note in the caption. The video showed Razdan celebrating his birthday, while Ranbir Kapoor stood next to him.
The note shared by Alia Bhatt read: “My grandfather. My hero He played golf until ’93 He worked until ’93 I made the best omelette He told the best stories He played the violin He played with his great-granddaughter He loved his cricket He loved his drawings He loved his family and even the very last moment…he loved his life!”

Alia’s mother and Narendra Nath Razdan’s daughter, Soni Razdan, also shared a post on her Instagram account to dedicate it to her ‘dad’. She wrote: “Daddy, daddy, grandpa, Nindi, our angel here on earth. We are so grateful to have called you our own. So grateful to have lived a life basking in your incandescent brilliance. So blessed to have been touched by your kind. loving, tender and ever vibrant soul. You have taken a piece of us with you but we will never be separated from your spirit. It inhabits us all and will always remind us what it truly means to be alive.
