Those people who show their interest in the car will surely like this article. In this blog, we’ll talk about the online backlash Ford faced. This automaker has become a recent target of conservatives after an old ad featuring the rainbow-hued raptor once again was seen on the web. On Thursday, May 17, 2023, Phillip Oliver, a Twitter user, shared the video of the viral ad clip. This ad was released last year in the month of June, also known as Pride Month. The self-proclaimed “alpha male” reposted the video that a user named Brian Michael originally posted on Tiktok on Wednesday, May 16, 2023.

The Tiktok user wrote in the text overlay of the video that the company destroyed 120 years of American history in 1 minute. He further added the now famous phrase, “Go, wake up, go broke,” which conservatives use constantly. “Very Gay – Ford Raptor adopted the shiny body emblazoned with the rainbow wave running from the front of the car to the rear. This raptor adopted the theme of Pride and was in response to the homophobic comment on the Ranger Raptor video that was shared in the year 2021. As a consequence of the recent online backlash that many businesses have received for their support of the LGBTQ+ community Right-wingers continue to investigate past promotions or commercials from companies that have advocated for the LGBTQ+ community.

The latest attack on Ford is reportedly part of a series of queerphobic and critical movements on social media led by conservatives to boycott the American automaker. Ford has been in business since 1903. The launch of the Very Gay Raptor was the follow-up to the “Tough Talks” video series featuring the firm with Gareth Thomas, a former Welsh rugby player. For those people who don’t know, just let them inform you that Gareth is the first rugby player to be openly gay. Now speaking of the video series, he spoke to the guest about fighting and fighting homophobia in the auto industry and brought to light the requirement to redefine how the notion of being tough is perceived.

Ford’s initiative to create the Very Gay Raptor was prompted by what seemed like a homophobic response to its recent iteration of the Blue Ranger Raptor. In June of last year, the company posted the video and claims its latest Ranger Raptor reveal had garnered a lot of attention, but a comment stopped them dead in their tracks.
