Amidst the ongoing romantic milieu of Valentine’s Week, where love fills the air, a sweet tale of almost too wonderful to be true love story has gone viral.
This love tale took place at a busy Starbucks shop, giving a touch of sweetness to the season of love.
Who fell in love with her coffee customer?
Samantha, a young college student juggling her academics and a part-time work as a barista at Starbucks, found herself drawn to a specific customer, Robbie Hildebrandt.
Little did she know that their chance meeting would blossom into a timeless love story, eventually leading to a lifetime of togetherness.
Samantha told the Kennedy News about her fairytale love story as Valentine’s Day approaches.
When did they fell in love?
Samantha revealed that she was enamored by a regular customer despite merely exchanging passing greetings.
However, one day in 2016, Robbie struck up a discussion with her, inquiring about her Thanksgiving break, and that is where it all began.
Seizing the opportunity, she discreetly scribbled her phone number on his holiday cappuccino cup with a sharpie, hoping for a chance at love.
“I was quite happy,” Samantha, from Ocean City, New Jersey, told Kennedy News that her interaction with him gave her the confidence to approach him.
“I typed my phone number with a Sharpie, and he texted me that night. The rest is history,” she explained.
She went on to say that she considers herself “very lucky” that Robbie, who is now her husband, managed to notice her phone scrawled on the paper cup.
“Otherwise, I don’t know if we’d be together today,” Samantha added.
“I felt so excited and hopeful for the future. I just felt like it was the start of something amazing, I had a feeling about that.”
How did their first date go?
Samantha and Robbie had their first date in a small Italian restaurant. It left Samantha feeling adored and valued, indicating the start of a serious relationship.
“My first proper date was very cute, and I felt unique. Samantha vividly remembered Robbie’s gestures, saying, “I’d never been taken on a date and treated like that.”
Five years later, the pair married in a modest ceremony in front of family and friends.
To celebrate their unorthodox meeting, they added a symbolic touch to their party by displaying a mason jar filled with coffee beans labeled “the perfect blend,” which served as a monument to their love story.
“You’ve got to go for it, take chances in life, and be confident because you never know,” she says.
