‘School Of Lies’ is a crime drama about a boy who goes missing from a boarding school.
School Of Lies is a Disney+Hotstar release revolving around a boy who goes missing from his school, where each investigative witness has a different angle and alibi. The upcoming thriller series will air from June 2.
The series revolves around a boy, Shakti Salgaonkar, who goes missing from a boarding school where the authorities and his parents are looking for his son, but a mysterious narrative begins to be built by the boy’s acquaintances who have his version.

Actor Nimrat Kaur takes the lead in the film playing the role of a counselor Nandita Mehra who comes to talk to the youngsters in the boarding school to get more information about the missing child and the case.
The boarding school staff and all the students seem to be hiding something upon learning that the missing boy was in trouble, where he has a backlog of accusations against him for lying and stealing money. A student also claims to have seen the missing boy run away with his own eyes where the policemen and Shakti’s mother are in constant agony, however the police detect a different problem.

The trailer begins with Nimrat Kaur’s voiceover where he says, “Ek sach ko chupne ke liye yahan kitne jhoot bole jaa rahe hai.” The trailer then indicates that the school and also the students are running a huge cover-up where questions remain about the missing Shakti and whether or not she is alive.
According to a Hindustan Times report, series co-creator and director Avinash Arun Bhaware said: “School of Lies is a child’s story of loneliness, disconnection and repression. Also the story of freedom, magic and more. of a child. All children, boarding school or otherwise, will go through these phases at some point or another.”
He further mentions: “In today’s world, children are much more sensitive and exposed. School of Lies is a story of the times we live in and an attempt to look with empathy at all the forces within us that can set us free or destroy us.”

The series is produced by BBC Studios and is inspired by true events. It also stars Aamir Bashir, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Sonali Kulkarni, Jitendra Joshi, Varin Roopani, Divyansh Dwivedi, Aryan Singh Ahlawat, Hemant Kher, Parthiv Shetty, Adrija Sinha and Aalekh Kapoor in pivotal roles.
