About the history of Kerala

The plot of “The Kerala Story” revolves around a Hindu woman from Kerala, played by Adah Sharma, who undergoes indoctrination to convert to Islam and is later sent to Syria, where she is forced to join the terrorist group ISIS and subjected to torture. In the first trailer for the film, it was claimed that 32,000 women of the state had been subjected to forced conversion to Islam. However, after legal intervention, the filmmakers changed the description of the trailer, revisiting it from the “story of 32,000 women” to that of three women.

During an interview with ETimes, Sudipto shared that he spent seven years carrying out this project and strongly believed in its potential success.

“It was always intended to be a story about three friends who happen to be women. That’s why the film deals exclusively with the subject of women being brainwashed. It was not a premeditated plan. Currently, a producer has offered me a project, as a follow-up to Kerala’s history about the radicalization of children,” he said.
