‘The Kerala Story’ has been declared duty free in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
The Kerala Story Box Office Collection: Adah Sharma starring in ‘The Kerala Story’ has become one of the biggest Bollywood hits in 2023. The film has already surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office and is looking to join the Rs 250 crore club. ‘The Kerala Story’ managed to attract audiences to theaters despite being surrounded by controversy.

According to the sacnilk website, ‘The Kerala Story’ grossed around Rs 1.25 crore on the 28th or so and its total box office take now stands at Rs 231.66 crore.
Expressing her gratitude, Adah Sharma wrote: “Wow 4th weekend and so many of you in theaters for #TheKeralaStory! So very grateful. Grateful to everyone in the industry who gave me every role in every movie, ad and video musical sab kuch to be in theaters now with this one. Thank you uuuuuuuu!!”

Meanwhile, Zee5 has reportedly bought the OTT rights of ‘The Kerala Story’ and the film is reported to be released online in June 2023. The official OTT release date of the film has yet to be announced.
‘The Kerala Story’ has been declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Speaking about the decision, the Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh said, “Making ‘The Kerala Story’ tax free is a very good decision. I want the people of Uttar Pradesh to see this film and understand how our sisters have suffered. we will also go and watch the film. The people in West Benegal will not accept the ban on this film.”
By making a movie tax free, the state has waived the entertainment tax lien and tickets will be available at a discount.
