Spilling guts and icing! A recent revelation shook the entire world when Mexican journalist, ufologist, and host of the Mexican television programme Tercer Milenio, Jaime Maussan, came forward with striking evidence to back his “aliens exist” theory. However, the internet has had an interesting bout of memes and spoofs as a reaction to the news.
When: It All Went Down Last Week

On Tuesday, September 12, the independent journalist produced two alleged alien bodies in windowed boxes and claimed under oath that these bodies “were found buried in diatomite mines” in Peru.
Where: In A Mexico Congress Session
If this secret discovery had been unravelled on Instagram Live, the internet would have easily written it off. However, the whole shenanigan played out during a historic public hearing session focused on unidentified anomalous phenomena (aka UFOs) in the Green Room of the Chamber of Deputies Congress of Mexico.
Why: New Twist On Truth
The buzz around the session peaked when a Maussan produced the centuries-old Nazca mummies from Peru. He claimed that the skeletons with three fingers on each hand and a stereotypical ET-esque look were not human remains but alien species that were once visitors on the planet.
He said, per media reports, “These specimen are not part of our terrestrial evolution.” He made bold claims and added, “Whether they are aliens or not, we don’t know, but they were intelligent and they lived with us. They should rewrite history.”
However, most did not buy Maussan’s explanation.
What Is Happening Now?
For the World Committee on Mummy Studies, the claims were bogus. They described the discovery as “an irresponsible, organised campaign of misinformation.” While Mexico’s top astrobiologist, Antígona Segura, told the New York Times, “These conclusions are simply not backed up by evidence. The whole thing is very shameful.”
Many others from the scientific community rejected the “evidence.” The experts aside, even the public on Twitter had their doubts about the alien bodies. Memes and spoofs filled the timeline as people on the internet started weighing in on the matter.
One video that is taking the internet by storm is a spoof of the alien unboxing that went on at the Mexican Senate session. The “is it cake” trend hopped on the chance as a baker named @the_bakeking on Instagram posted a video of himself cutting through the “alien corpses.”

The video played on the news and joked about “alien revealed as cake.” The cake was indeed an uncanny replica of the bodies produced in Mexico. Many pointed out that it was more convincing than the actual bodies that were glass-cased at the hearing in Mexico.
